In March 2025, our service team was deployed to provide offshore commissioning support in Brazil for 10 units of heaters and control panels, the largest having a capacity of 720 kW.
We received reports of high temperatures on the heaters. Upon investigation, we discovered that insulation jackets were improperly installed on the heaters’ flanges at the stand-off area. This insulation trapped heat, resulting in elevated temperatures on the heater flanges. It is essential that the heater flanges and stand-off areas remain uninsulated to allow accurate readings of flange temperatures, particularly for T-class protection.
Thanks to our team’s swift actions and meticulous attention to detail, we were able to quickly identify and resolve the issue, ensuring seamless operations for our client.
